![]() I watched them talk for a little while and also watched the bartender. I kept an eye on Ma as well as the man sitting at the end of the bar and as the man got off his phone, Ma Marie approached him like he was an old friend. As I was playing pool, I also studied the man at the end of the bar, he seemed like a "hard" man. I told her okay as it was my turn to shoot pool anyway. I don't ask too much about what she does as I know Ma Marie all too well. As she was standing by him waiting for him to finish his call, I walked up to Ma and asked her if everything was okay. She said she was just gonna take care of a little business and she would talk to me later. Then after a while had gone by, I seen the bartender give Ma a small, white piece of paper and point to a man sitting at the end of the bar who was talking on his phone.Ī little later I watched Ma get up and head towards the man sitting at the end of the bar. I noticed the bartender would come back and talk with Ma every time she had a free minute as she was working all by herself that evening. They seemed to be getting along great, as Ma Marie never meets a stranger. I was up and the game had started.Īs I was playing, I kept an eye on Ma as she started talking to the little bartender there. We walked in and Ma sat at the bar as I was getting ready to shoot some pool with some of the locals there. You really have to know both sides of her. Ma Marie is just really fun to hang out with. Me and Ma Marie were out "running the roads" one day and decided to stop in a little country bar as our day was almost over and I like to shoot pool. This true story happened at a place close to our little town. Story Number One: Ma Marie's Special Touch I just wanted to add a few stories about Ma Marie as I would like everyone to know that her magick/conjure work is really real and powerful. Her conjure/rootwork techniques represents the wisdom passed down in her family from generations. In other words she is about as home grown and old-fashioned as you can get. She makes her bread & biscuits from scratch (oh, so good), doesn't watch TV, doesn't like her picture taken, still hangs her clothes out to dry, makes her coffee in an old drip pot, and yep, chews and spits tobacco too (UPDATE.Ma Marie has given up tobacco! YEA!).She is quite a character. She lives out in the neck of the woods on about 3 acres where she grows her own little garden and raises her own chickens. People have offered her lots of money to do ill will, but she refuses and sends them on their way. Ma Marie is a strong woman, very straight forward and she tells it like it is. She is a very private person, very well respected and has very old-fashioned values and beliefs. ![]() ![]() I do work beside her a lot as she works her magick and I have learned a lot from her. She doesn't know much about computers or the internet, in fact, doesn't have either one, so that's where I come in. Her crafted mojo bags are very powerful and have been known to have a high success rate. People come to her from around to have her make something especially for them.
